"Hape" Wegener is an old hippie and has a lot of debts. At the cemetery he happens to meet the widow Martha Ebinghaus, who clearly comes from wealthy circles. Hape poses as a mysterious diplomat in order to gain the trust of the unstable Martha and then wants to reap financial benefits from it. Martha is fascinated by Hape and his stories and Hape's plan seems to be working.

The daughter of a famous writer believes her mother is responsible for her father's death. Since then the relationship between them is cooled increasingly, to the point that she did not invite her mother when she marries. The husband, far from promoting good relations between them, takes them away even more, which sees the mother and begins to suspect him when he receives a note threatening to kill his daughter.
Sophie and her family are visiting the city Museum of Natural Sciences where Prof. Snork is working on a new time machine... Suddenly the whole machine starts to shake and, with a bright flash of light, a tiny mammoth named Woolly and a sea turtle by the name of Gertrude materialize next to Felix! All three of them are then catapulted into a journey through time in which they face prehistoric cavemen and even meet Queen Nefertiti in ancient Egypt. However, the return home will not be easy, as Sophie and Prof. Snork work on getting the machine back to the present. Meanwhile, Felix is hosted by the Vikings, meets a whale, comes to know the peoples of the Native Americas and goes adventuring on a Pacific island. Felix and Wolly even participate in a medieval tournament before returning to the safety of Sophie's arms.
Ina and Klaus Heller have sent their twins to vacation camp and are looking forward to a romantic and loving time together. But their mutual friends have their doubts. After all, how are the stressed-out judge and the ambitious architect supposed to know how "it" works? And indeed, there is a big lull in bed for once. Both are frustrated and so Klaus is not particularly sad when he is asked to take on an important project at short notice. So that Ina doesn't get too angry with him, he sells her a stay in a luxurious wellness hotel as an additional vacation treat. Now he has to be extra careful. After all, his wife mustn't know about his appointments there.
